Central database

The central database manages access of individual workstations, tracking upload times and volumes for load balancing, and maintains a transaction log of upload activity. The SQL databases tracks each branch upload and total activity numbers. The system provides reports to monitor system-wide activity and scanner activity, in hours and documents.

The central database server can issue a request to each distributed location (via an NT service) to upload stored data.
