There are four or five tabs presented on the opening screen, depending on whether the user is utilizing ChekScan Standard or ChekScan Enterprise:

• The Image Tab presents images of checks as they are scanned.
• The Settings Tab controls how the scanner operates. The Settings Tab allows the user to specify the basic configuration of the scanner, i.e. contrast, format, and endorsement features.
• The Database tab displays the list of checks and information. The user can double click on any row in the database and ChekScan will fetch that image. The user may specify a subset of the database to display by establishing criteria for sorting, such as date, account number, and amount paid.
• The View Tab displays individual images, either because the Scan One button was used, the database was queried, or the menu OPEN command was used.
• The Input Tab supports acquisition of information about the payor, such as name and address, through manual/OCR data entry (Pro version).
