ChekScan Workgroup is an image management program that provides distributed scanning and MICR capture without the complexity of SQL servers and image transfers required with an enterprise-wide solution. The program loosely links ChekScan Standard or ChekScan Pro workstations to share database information to a central master database, perhaps to gather volume and routing statistics, or for fraud detection.

ChekScan Workgroup

• comes in a MySQL version to remove the workstation capacity limit and provide better research and consolidation for up to 25 branches
• can optionally use MySQL as a database rather than Paradox
• can act as a dedicated FTP server for secure transfer of images from remote scanning stations anywhere on the internet
• provides on-line support -- the user clicks on "Support," and the system takes a picture of the current desktop to send along with the email request
• allows for remote deposit and distributed capture capabilities
• provides for automatic backup of data and images

Limitations
ChekScan Workgroup/Paradox has a limit of approximately twenty workstations that can share and/or upload images and data to a central database. There is also a limit of 100,000 images per workstation. The MySQL version has larger capacity.

Larger solution
ChekScan Enterprise provides a broader solution than does ChekScan Workgroup for businesses seeking to utilize branch image capture, central storage, and system-wide image retrieval for more than 25 workstations/branches. Users do not need to have ChekScan Workgroup in order to utilize ChekScan Enterprise.
