Indexing
You can index records automatically by bank
name, account number, check number, date, department, operator,
workstation, user-defined codes.
- You can assign index points such as classification
code and/or batch ID at the time of scanning, at the Image tab
screen. If you the user fail to change a particular index type,
such as classification code, then the last-used code is assigned
to the new batch.
- The scanner reads and the software stores
MICR-coded information on the checks to create other index points
such as ABA routing number and account number. If information
is MICR-encoded onto the checks before scanning, such as amount,
then that information is read during scanning, as well. You
can edit the information as desired.
- The system automatically assigns some index
points, such as scan date and file name.
- You can manually enter information into the
database record about payor name, address, and telephone number.
