Database creation
The system creates a payors database, both from
scanned checks and from data imported from other systems, such
as Peachtree Accounting and QuickBooks.
The Payors database maintains a history of payments,
and shows cumulative totals per payor. The database can contain
other identifiers used in other databases, such as Peachtree Accounting
or QuickBooks. This Payors database can be imported from the exported
file of the accounting system.
As a check is scanned and the account number
is retrieved from the MICR line, the Payors database is consulted
to see if that Account ID is already on file. If so, the total
amount paid/contributed is updated. If a record for that payor
does not already exist, the system creates one.
With new records, the user can simply enter
new information about the new individuals by viewing their check
and copying the information desired.
