Xanthos makes it easy to index

Before you scan a batch of documents, you specify how you want them classified, by Cabinet, Drawer, Folder, and Document Type. Xanthos uses a hierarchical system, so that, for example, any folder must have an associated drawer and cabinet.

You can also assign non-hierarchical reference points using numerical or alphanumeric characters, such as a customer ID from your accounting system.

Automatic indexing. In addtion, you can preprint your forms such as payment coupons with an identifying code for example, a customer ID. If the system is notified to expect this at scanning, then the code can be read by OCR, and the document automatically indexed by that identification.
